I know I'm a day late, but found this article with my word, & even though it is NOT new word, it is one that in this context I think makes a HUGE point for celebrities & us 'normal' people.
EXHAUSTION : which according to Merriam-Webster this means to tire extremely or completely.
The article I am referring to can be found here Hollywood's new code word: "Exhaustion" and it refers to celebrities use of the word 'exhaustion' as a means of getting hospitalized, getting out of work, and what else? Denying the fact that they have an alcohol or substance abuse problem?! *Shocker right!
I am absolutely disgusted at celebrities use of this word, like they would actually know what doing a hard day's labor consists of. Until you have worked 2 jobs (on the same day), clean a house, cared for 3 kids, & cooked dinner... all after having only about 4 hours of sleep "YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT EXHAUSTION IS!"
Can anyone else relate with me on fury that swells within me when someone who has EVERYTHING acts as if they know what it's like to be 'so tired that they are exhausted?"
The article states they have armies of 'helpers' to get them through these EXHAUSTING days here are the helpers: assistants, cooks, drivers, dog walkers, maids, manicurists, facialists, eyebrow shapers, hairstylists, makeup artists, clothing stylists, managers, publicists, agents, accountants.
I think personally if I had THAT many people to cater to my every whim I would never be exhausted, I mean honestly you could even hire someone to chew your food for you if you wanted, lol!!
Okay now it's time to tell me what you think...How do you feel about celebrities using the word 'exhaustion' ? Do you think they are using in context or just to hide something like alcohol or substance abuse? What are your thoughts?
